2013 Habitat for Humanity

July 21, 2013 Update
Thank you for your generous financial support of the 2013 Habitat for Humanity project. A check for $1,117 was sent to Habitat for Humanity last week. This exceeds the pledge made on Hope UCC's behalf.

June 23, 2013
This Sunday we plan to raise $1,000.00 to help change the life of Deborah—the future Habitat home owner! You can help by clicking here and making a $10.00 donation to Hope UCC and marking “Habitat” in the box called “Other.” All of your $10.00 will be sent along with the rest of our collection to Habitat for Humanity. We also invite you to join us in worship this Sunday at 10:30 for a chance to meet Deborah who will be worshipping us!

Habitat_LogoIn 2013, Habitat St. Louis purchased 5 homes in need of rehab work at various locations throughout St. Louis City and County.

Instead of building a brand new house this year, the UCC Habitat group decided to sponsor the rehab of one of these homes in the city’s Carondelet neighborhood. On Saturday, August 10, Hope volunteers worked to update this 108-year-old home.

We are privileged to have this year’s homeowner, Deborah, to come and share during the “Mission Moment” what the Habitat opportunity means to her and her family. Also, on this day a special Habitat offering envelope will be included in the bulletin. Hope has pledged $1,000 to Habitat for Humanity this year.

Saturday, August 10
This is Hope’s build day. At least 7-8 volunteers are needed to work on updating this 108-year-old home for Deborah. Sign up sheets are available on the bulletin board outside the parlor.

Please keep Hope’s great tradition of supporting this cause going by donating your time and talents and by contributing generously to help exceed our pledge goal.
