Commit to the Lenten Journey
The 40-day season of Lent is a time of preparation and reflection. Beginning on Ash Wednesday, we are invited to examine our lives and discipleship alongside the life and discipleship of Jesus Christ. Below are opportunities for you to engage in the full experience of this holy season.

Wednesday, February 14
Ash Wednesday Worship Service in the Sanctuary at 7:00 p.m.
At this service we receive the ashes, a symbol of repentance, and share in the Lord’s Supper, a symbol of our communion with Christ and each other.

Join us on our Lenten Journey…
This Lent our theme is “Covenant.” Each Sunday we focus on a story in the Old Testament that centers on this theme in a variety of ways, from the Covenant of the Rainbow in Noah’s story to the “covenant written on our hearts” in Jeremiah 31. We invite you to make your own covenant with God this season. A covenant is a promise. We know God promises us unconditional love and eternal care along life’s journey. What promise will you make this Lent? Not to give something up, but to take something on either in your own faith life, church life or community.

Or maybe make a commitment outside of church

The list is seemingly endless! Pastor Sarah is available to discuss possibilities that reflect your passions, gifts, and own spiritual needs. Each week during worship, you will be invited to come forward—if you wish-and offer a written note of your covenant to God. These will be posted in a display showing the variety of ways we share in this on-going covenant with God, each other, and our world!

What promise will you make this Lent?
